Keep CompanyDelete your account
You can delete your Keep Company account, and everything stored with it, at any time from inside the app. You do not need to give a reason or ask anyone.
How to delete it
- Open Keep Company and go to You, then Account & data.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
- That is all. It happens straight away, and you are signed out.
There is no waiting period and no confirmation email.
Paying for Pro or Elite? Cancel the subscription in Google Play or the App Store first. Deleting your account ends your tier straight away and does not refund the rest of the period. See Cancelling and refunds.
Want a copy first? The same screen has Export your data, which gives you a copy of what we hold about you. Once the account is deleted there is nothing left to export.
If you cannot get into the app
Email care@keepcompany.in from the email address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. We check the request came from you, delete the account, and reply to confirm. We aim to do this within 7 days.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account is removed for good:
- your sign-in and email address;
- your profile: first name, date of birth, interests, bio and everything else you added;
- all your photos, and the results of their photo checks;
- your selfie-check record, if you have one;
- your payment records, if you bought Pro or Elite;
- your chats, live or kept: every message, voice note and photo you sent is removed from them, together with the stored files;
- your position, and anyone you blocked from your contacts;
- your notification tokens, on every phone.
Nothing is kept in a form that can be brought back, and there is no hidden grace period.
This cannot be undone. Deleting is not pausing: the data is gone. If you sign up again later, you start from the beginning, with no chats.
If your account has been closed
Deleting a closed account does not reopen it. The block on its email address is stored separately and stays. Deleting removes your data, and afterwards there is nothing left for us to review, so if you want to appeal, appeal first. See how appeals work.
If you only want a break
You do not have to delete anything. Deactivate account, on the same screen, hides your profile and signs you out until you come back. Or simply sign out. To change something, edit your profile in the app, or write to care@keepcompany.in and we will do it for you.
