Keep Company is a place to make friends. These are the rules that keep it one. Each says what happens if it is broken.
Reviewed by a person means someone on our team looks at what happened and decides: a warning, a removed photo, or a closed account if it is serious. Account closed means there is no warning: the account is closed the first time.
The rules
1. Be yourself
Use your own first name and photos of you: not a friend, a celebrity or a face you found. If you pass the selfie check and later add a photo that is not you, the verified mark comes off automatically.

Keep Company is for adults. If you think someone is under 18, report them and choose "They seem underage". We act on that reason first.
Account closed3. Nothing that sexualises a child. Ever.
The account is closed, its email address is blocked for good, the material is kept as evidence and it is reported to the authorities. See our child safety standards.
Account closed4. This is for friendship
No sexual messages, photos or voice notes, and no sexual advances. Keep Company is for friendship only. Every photo is checked automatically before anyone sees it, and a clearly explicit one closes the account straight away.

No harassment, threats, insults or bullying. If someone stops replying, or leaves a kept chat, that is their answer: let it go.

Nothing that attacks people for their religion, caste, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability or where they come from.
Reviewed by a person7. Never ask anyone for money
No asking for money, no investment tips, no crypto or trading groups, no sudden emergencies, no gift cards, no payment links. No selling, promoting or recruiting. If someone asks you for money, it is a scam. Report it and do not send anything.
Account closed8. One account, and it is yours
One person, one account. Do not run an account for someone else or share yours, and do not start a new one after we have closed yours.

Do not post someone's messages, photos or voice notes outside the app, and do not share their phone number, address, workplace or anything else they told you in confidence.

No bots, scrapers, automation or modified versions of the app.
Account closed11. Report it rather than handle it yourself
Report from the profile or the chat. A person reads every report, and the person you report is never told who did it. Reporting and blocking are separate, so you can do either or both.
What happens if a rule is broken
- A photo comes down. The lightest outcome: the photo is removed and the account carries on.
- A warning. For a first, less serious breach. It is recorded, and a second report about the same thing is read alongside it.
- The account is closed. You are signed out everywhere, and the email address on the account cannot be used to make a new one. Deleting a closed account does not lift this.
A report on its own does not close an account. A person reads the whole chat, including whatever led to it.
What our team can see
When a chat is reported, a moderator can read that chat, so the report can be judged. Nobody reads chats that have not been reported. When the message filter catches a message, the sender is warned, the message is delivered with a warning mark, and the team reviews it. The team can also see photos waiting to be checked. The Privacy Policy has the full detail.
Appeals
If you think your account was closed by mistake, write to care@keepcompany.in from the email address on the account. Tell us roughly when you lost access and anything you think caused it, such as a photo you had just added. A guess helps.
A person will look at the account and reply either way, usually within a week. If we got it wrong, the account is reopened with everything as it was. If you have heard nothing after a week, write again.
Please appeal before deleting a closed account: once it is deleted, there is nothing left to review. Closures under rules 2 and 3 are not reversed on appeal.
